Waking up Series

This is the kriya I run before my feet touch the floor. It sets the navel, the seat of your physical power, then drives prana down to meet apana so the two currents that govern life and elimination ignite together in the lower body. It floods the spine with that combined energy, loosens the channel kundalini must travel, and clears the aura of whatever darkness the night left in it. You wake as a charged body, not a sleeping one.

Stretch Pose

Stretch Pose. Lie flat on your back with arms and legs held straight. Raise your feet, head, and hands 6 inches off the ground and hold there with Breath of Fire for 2 minutes, or as long as you can. Fix your eyes on your big toes and point your hands toward your feet. If your waist lifts up, slide your hands beneath your hips for support. If you hold it for less than a minute, rest, then repeat the pose, adding time each day. This sets the navel.

Nose to Knees

Nose to Knees

Nose to Knees. Bend your knees and clasp your legs with your arms, raising your head so your nose comes between your knees, and hold with Breath of Fire for 2 minutes. This combines prana with apana.

Spinal Rock

Pose 3

Spinal Rock

Spinal Rock. Stay in the same position and rock back and forth on your spine, from neck to tailbone, for 1 minute. This distributes pranic energy and relaxes the spine.

Ego-Eradicator

Ego-Eradicator

Ego-Eradicator. Sit in Easy Pose and raise your arms to 60 degrees out to the sides, fingertips resting on the pads of your fingers, thumbs extended straight up, and hold with Breath of Fire for 2 minutes. Then inhale deeply and VERY SLOWLY raise your arms until the thumbtips touch overhead. Flatten your hands and slowly arc them down, sweeping the aura with your palms, gathering any darkness, negativity, or sickness, then press and release it into the earth to clean and energize the aura. Feel the light around you and meditate on that light.
