Strengthening the Immune System 2

Your immune system works for you all day and all night without being asked. This kriya turns the question around: now you work for it. You move prana through the body like a swimmer cutting through water, drive heat into the glands, then drop into deep rest so the system can rebuild. By the end you wake the body up dancing, sealing the energy into every cell.

Pose 1

This breath exercise is called "Swimming through the Pranic ocean". Sit in easy pose and move the arms as if you are swimming. Extend one arm and then the other in constant motion. As one arm reaches forward, the other draws back with the elbow along your side. Do not punch. Make the motion smooth and circular so it moves the shoulders, the rib cage, and the back muscles. Run a powerful breath of fire through an open mouth in rhythm with the arms. Keep the back molars together so the breath sounds like a strong, pulsing hiss. Continue for 13 Minutes.

Pose 2

Come into back platform pose. Hold the body straight, the knees especially. Let the neck relax backward, but do not let it hyperextend or crimp. This presses on the parathyroid. After 2 Minutes, form a circle with your mouth and breathe strongly. Puff in and out, driving the breath with the diaphragm. This is not a breath of fire from the navel. It is a "pancreas" breath focused near the sternum and the diaphragm. Continue for another 2 Minutes.
