Raising Kundalini
This kriya is built to wake the serpent at the base of the spine and walk her upward through the nadis. You move first to scatter inertia from the body, then strike the spine again and again until the channel is open and the energy has no excuse to stay coiled. Each spinal flex, each round of breath of fire, is a hammer on the same gate. Do the full set and the force that was sleeping in the lower body begins to rise and circulate as pure prana.

Pose 1

Sit with your legs stretched out straight in front of you and do body drops for 1 to 2 minutes.

Pose 3
Kundalini Lotus Pose. Balance on your buttocks, grasp your feet and raise them, keeping your arms and legs straight. Hold on to the big toes if you can. Stay here with long, deep breathing for 2 to 3 minutes.

Pose 4
a) Spinal Flex in Easy Pose for 2 to 3 minutes. b) Then spinal flex five times on each inhale and five times on each exhale for 2 to 3 minutes.

Pose 5
Frogs, 54 of them. Squat into Frog Pose with your heels raised and touching each other, fingertips on the floor and arms straight between your legs. Inhale and lift the buttocks, lowering the head to look at your knees. Exhale and return to the original squat, head looking straight ahead. Keep the heels raised and touching the whole time.

Pose 6
Camel Pose with Breath of Fire for 1 minute. Sit on your heels, arch the pelvis up, drop the head back and grab your heels. Press the pelvis forward.

Pose 7
Chair Pose with long, deep breathing for 1 minute. Squat and pass your arms inside the thighs and outside the forelegs, hands on the feet, and sit up as much as possible. Continue with Breath of Fire for 1 more minute. Then inhale, exhale, and apply Mulbhand.

Pose 8
Maha Shakti Pose with the left foot 6 inches above the right foot, with Breath of Fire for 2 minutes. 9. Stretch Pose. On your back, raise the head, hands and legs 6 inches with arms and legs straight, and look at your toes, with Breath of Fire for 2 minutes. 10. Spinal Flex in Rock Pose, 108 times. Inhale as the spine arches forward, exhale as it contracts back. 11. Cat/Cow. On hands and knees, arms and thighs parallel to each other, press the back up and drop the head down like a cat as you exhale, then relax the back down and arch the neck on the inhale, 108 times.
