Spine and Nervous System

Balancing the Aura

The aura is the electromagnetic body of light that surrounds you, and when it weakens the world walks straight through you. This kriya rebuilds that field from the inside out. It sharpens the eyes, then it drives prana through the spine and the navel center until the energy of the third chakra floods outward into the aura and returns, charging every chakra on its way home. Practice it and you become harder to penetrate and easier to feel.

Pose 1

Sit in Easy Pose. Bend your elbows out to the sides at shoulder level and cross your hands slightly in front of your open eyes. Spread your fingers wide like a fan (A). Now move your upper arms from the elbow, carrying the hands a little out to the side and back again, keeping the upper arm parallel to the floor (B). Drive this motion rapidly and forcefully for 3 minutes. This works on the eyes.

Stand and come into Archer Pose. The right leg bends forward so the knee sits over the toes. The left leg stretches straight back, foot flat on the ground at a 45 degrees angle to the front foot. Raise the right arm straight in front, parallel to the ground, and close it into a fist as if gripping a bow. Pull the left arm back as if drawing the bowstring to your shoulder. Face forward, eyes fixed on the horizon above the fist (A). From here, bend the right knee so the body drops down (B), then rise back up. Move powerfully and rhythmically for 2 minutes. Switch sides and continue for 2 more minutes. Return to the first leg and arm position and continue for 30 seconds more.

Come into Cobra Pose. Lie on your stomach with the palms flat on the floor beneath the shoulders, heels together, soles of the feet facing up. Arch the spine from the neck to the base until the arms are straight and the elbows are locked (A). From here, lift the buttocks up into the air into Triangle Pose, supported on your palms and the soles of your feet, the body forming straight lines from heels to buttocks and from buttocks to wrists (B). Return to position A and alternate between the two at a speed of 2 seconds per posture for 5 minutes.

Sit in Easy Pose with a straight spine and play a recording of the Wahe Guru Jeeo meditation. On the words Wahe Guru or Wahe Jeeo, pull Muhl Bhand, drawing in on the muscles of the rectum, sex organs and navel point for the length of the phrase, then release and meditate on the words in between. On Toohee, take one powerful breath of fire, an equal inhale and exhale from the abdomen, for the length of the word, then release and meditate in between. Continue for at least one full cycle of the meditation, roughly 14 minutes. This carries the energy out from the 3rd chakra into the aura, then returns it to the 3rd chakra, charging every chakra as it goes. Practice it for the full length of the tap
